Archer Daniels Midland

ICL Construction were engaged to provide full design & build turn-key services from land obtainment, design through to consent and construction for a state of the art bulk PKE & grain storage & distribution facility for Archer Daniels Midland (United States).

Over 8,500m2 of bulk storage capacity utilizing 9m-17m high precast concrete walls and the patented Spantech roofing system. ICL partnered with Australian Firm Spantech to effectively and efficiently deliver this project on budget.

Unsupported roof spans up to 30m+ reduced the cost of bulky structural steel in which would hinder the internal operation of the plant and machinery.

The project consisted of 12 months of significant development land improvements, resource consents and neighbour consultation.

A 24m industrial weigh bridge, office and 40m span undercover storage canopy were also constructed as part of this development.

This is the third facility of its kind that ICL have constructed in the Taranaki region.
