Sammy-Jo Wenmoth

As a joint Director of ICL Construction (2016) Ltd, Sammy-Jo has a pivotal role in the success of your property projects. For this contract, she will be performing directorship responsibilities as a PCBU to ensure people’s welfare, health and safety across all our activities.

Sammy-Jo attends company meetings and regularly visits ICL project sites. Day-to-day, she manages all aspects of ICL Construction’s accounting functions including entering and authorising subcontractor payments, updating the subcontractor database and following up on subcontractor tender submissions.

She authorises expenditure and is in charge of the administrative management of ICL’s assets and payroll as well as other businesses administrative requirements. She oversees staff training needs and supports ongoing development of our skill base.

The previous business owners engaged Sammy-Jo as a casual administration officer five years ago. When the former company was available for purchase, and the offer was opened to staff members, Sammy-Jo and her husband Cole seized the opportunity and formed ICL Construction (2016) Ltd.

Before joining the construction industry, Sammy-Jo worked mainly in the hospitality sector. She gained her level-four City and Guilds qualification at the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki before applying her chef skills at various Taranaki cafés.

She is a former bar manager and head chef responsible for stock takes and purchase costings at the landmark Whangamomona Hotel on the beautiful Forgotten World Highway
